Death
From TheWarWiki
Death occurs when a player reaches 0 hit points. Death can be caused by the following:
- Killed by an NPC
- Killed by an enemy player
- Fall damage
- Abilities and/or Game Mechanics that cause harm to self
Resurrection
A player can be resurrected in two ways: either by respawning or being resurrected by an ally. If a player chooses to respawn, they will be teleported to the nearest quest hub or warcamp, depending on where they died. Players in scenarios are teleported to the beginning of the scenario unless resurrected by an ally.
Respawn Penalty
If a player has chosen to respawn, they will notice a countdown timer before actually respawning. The penalty is dependent on how many times you have died, and will eventually reset to a faster respawn timer. Players who choose to respawn are still able to receive a resurrection from an ally as long as their respawn penalty has not count all the way down.
Debuff
Upon resurrection, a player can recieve a stacking debuff that reduces a percentage (10/20/30/40/50%) of their total hit points per application (up to 5 debuffs). The length of the debuff is dependent on how and where the player has died. For instance, if the player died by an NPC, the length of the debuff would be 15 minutes. If the player was killed in ORvR combat, the length would be shortened to 3 minutes. Being resurrected by an ally reduces the length even further, giving the player only a 30 second debuff. It is also good to note that if a player is killed within a scenario, they will not receive a debuff at all.
Healers
Healers are strategically located in every quest hub, warcamp, and capital city. Players usually spawn close to the Healer, which allows quick access to "heal" after death - meaning the removal of the debuff(s) on the player. Healers can be marked on the mini-map to notate their location.
